Taylor Centers possesses an amazing vocal range that belies her 20 years.
Her passion for music and her musical influences grew as she did and at just 16, Taylor wrote and recorded her first song “Alibi” under the guidance of producer Marc Loren of the 42nd Street Studios in Fort Lauderdale. However, soon it became clear to Taylor that Country music was where her heart belonged.
This was reinforced by fans & friends alike and most recently by music writers. Jeff Hahne of Creative Loafing Charlotte said “Taylor Centers could put Charlotte on the map…this 20 year-old is on a clear path to becoming a household name in short order.”
Country music has always been a part of Taylor’s musical journey and she is incredibly excited (and relieved) that her heart and experience have landed her firmly on the ground creating great Country music. Taylor is very excited to have been selected to perform at the Carolina Country Music Festival in Myrtle Beach, SC. It was an honor to share the stage with some of her musical idols and favorite performers.
In addition, she was selected by the Special Olympics to be one of the 100 performers for their “Flame of Hope” celebration out of 20,000 applicants this June. Her most recent single, “Dodged Your Bullet”, produced by two-time Grammy and Dove Award winner Glenn Tabor, was released in April 2015 and is receiving tremendous feedback from industry insiders and music lovers alike. And most recently,
Taylor was selected to take part in the Pepsi Southern Original Competition to perform at this year Pepsi Gulf Coast Jam in Jackson, MS.
Taylor, who critics say “fills the stage with grace, power and control”, performed at the Driven Music Conferences in Fort Lauderdale and Atlanta and the Midatlantic Music Conference NoDa Music Fest in July and October of 2013.
This vocal power also led to her being selected to open for Epic recording artist Kat Dahlia and more recently for Mikey Wax at a local Charlotte venue. Currently, she can be seen performing all around Charlotte at local music venues.
Selected by Rob Daily of www.Dailyunsigned.com as a “New Music Discovery,” and “Artist of the Month” in March, 2014 on Jamminjukebox.com.
The Rendezvous Show’s Alysia Stern & Cristino Melendez commented about Taylor “This young lady is incredible, with an incredible voice. Only a senior in high school with talent that will blow you away. I see a Grammy for this girl in years to come.”
Taylor and her team are currently putting the finishing touches on the final songs for her first EP, at Gat 3 studios in Charlotte, NC with Glenn Tabor once again at the helm. Her musical journey has brought her back to Country music, where her heart tells her she belongs. Her songs tell a story and country music songwriting is all about story telling.
Taylor is presently planning her EP release and touring the southeast this fall.
A recent collaborator and fellow song writer Rudy Landa had this to say, “I’ve had the absolute privilege of writing some songs with this extremely talented and gifted gal over the last few weeks…she’s in the process of finishing her EP and I’m beyond thrilled to lend a little shoulder to the wheel to complement her already fantastic songwriting.
This gal is talented and mature as a singer, songwriter and performer…she has the “it” factor and I predict great things for her…she will be a huge success…mark my words.
Taylor Centers, thanks for the chance to work with you!”
