Doreen Taylor is a multiple award winning singer/songwriter and has been called one of the hottest up and coming musical stars by countless publications and television like the Lifetime Network,
CBS, NBC, FOX News, CW Network, Ok!TV, Consumers Digest, etc. With 2 degrees in music, Taylor has played numerous leading roles in various companies on and off Broadway and took the leap into mainstream music releasing her album “Magic” which garnered her the “2012 Suggested Artist of the Year” Award from the ‘Song of the Year’ international songwriting competition. Doreen’s music has been hand selected by Bose, Sharp Electronics and the #1 home shopping network, QVC to be played on all on-air demonstrations and on QVC.com to promote their products. She has been named a celebrity advocate for countless charitable causes and has been the face for brands such as Failte Vodka and Hades Footwear.
Most recently, her cross over, adult contemporary single “TOY” (released June 2015) charted on Billboard’s Hot 100 and reached #31 on the Adult Contemporary Chart after receiving heavy airplay on radio stations nationwide.
In 2014, Taylor was honorably chosen to collaborate on a new national anthem in honor of the US National Parks. “Colors of the USA” premiered at the ‘Salute to the Parks Gala’ in Washington D.C. in April 2014. A percentage of the proceeds from every download of the song was donated to help protect our national parks. Doreen was named ‘Ambassador of the National Parks’ for her ongoing efforts to connect children and the millennial generation to parks for their centennial in 2016.
When Doreen isn’t writing music, recording or performing, she is a big believer about “paying it forward”. She is an advocate for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and has raised thousands of dollars for their organization. She was named the honorary chair of the 50th Anniversary Big Brothers Big Sisters’ Gala in November 2013 and has hosted concerts nationwide in honor of Andrew’s Army, Unyts, Jaws Youth Playbook and UrbanPromise.
She has also been a public advocate for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Special Operation Warrior Foundation and the Boys and Girls Clubs of America. A public advocate against bullying, she has held public assemblies at various schools teaching about the damaging effect of this epedemic and has been a celebrity voice for GLAAD and Bullies Keep Out.
