I was born in a town called Pinelands in Cape Town. My dad then got a transfer to Johannesburg, where I mostly grew up.
Growing up in Johannesburg was fantastic, the best years of my childhood. The big open spaces, riding bikes, the list is endless!
When I was 5 years old, I started horseriding, I love horses and still do today, although I don’t ride anymore.
I competed in a lot of showjumping, which I really enjoyed and I did showjumping for many years until we moved from Johannesburg to Durban.
Durban is a beautiful city, with stunning beaches, although I’m not a beach person! and I’m still trying to get used to the weather in the UK, as it is so different to what I am used to!
I have a brother 2 years younger than me, he’s a pilot working for a well known airline in South Africa and I do get homesick at times, as I don’t get to see him and his family very often!
Having family all over the world – in Canada, America, Holland, New Zealand and of course South Africa. ( I do have a very large family) I don’t get to see them very much either.
