I’m back from being MIA – we’ve being doing a lot of behind the scenes stuff, which I’ll be talking about!

My good friend, Randy Lockhart has kindly built me a website, indieartistpromotions.uk, which is all about fantastic Indie Artists – take a read and learn all about how they all started out in their careers, it’s all extremely interesting!

A big shout out to Randy for doing this for me, I appreciate it so much. He is such a darling! How he puts up with me, I just don’t know LOL! Thank you for being so patient with me! He certainly has opened doors for me, and I just can’t thank him enough for this. You could say this is the turning point in my life, and I’m truly grateful to Randy for giving me this opportunity!

I was also nominated for Nashville awards, Round 1 is finished now, I’m in the Promoter and Publicist of the year categories, fingers crossed that I made it to Round 2.

Randy, I’ll be nominating you for next years’ awards, as I feel you deserve 10 of these awards, with all the hard work you do, and your promotion as well as support of all Indie Artists, your articles really make them do well in their careers and get them recognised more! If it wasn’t for you, some won’t even further their chances! You are really an inspiration to us all, and we love you for that! Thank you my friend.

It’s Easter weekend, I hope you are all having a relaxing time, and try not to eat too much chocolate!

Until next time, take care everyone!

Ash Gilligan -February Updates

Here we are in February already! Time does fly extremely quickly!?

Being a Promoter is absolutely amazing, I wish I had thought of this years ago. It keeps me busy and out of mischief!

It is also fun – I do interact a lot with Codie, and speak to him via Skype on the odd occasion. At the moment I’m busy with looking for booking agents here in the UK, as Codie would like to do a tour here this year.

Today Codie releases his new album ‘Radio’ – I can now send the album to the radio stations who have been chomping at the bit to get this fantastic album! Click on the photo to order your copy of Radio today

On another note, it’s been extremely cold here, not as cold as Canada, but still cold enough for me! There have been a few friends of mine who have gotten very bad Flu – I wish them to get better soon!

This will be short and sweet, but I will be back this week with a much longer article!

Until then, stay safe!

Ash Gilligan

Cannot believe how much time is flying – we are in December already, and Christmas is just around the corner! It’s getting colder and colder here in the UK, no sign of snow just yet.

I’ve met some really fantastic people since Codie asked me to start up his UK fan club, and whom I consider very good friends – some are artists, some are DJ’s of radio stations, and some are my followers (love them all!) You know who you all are! Friendship is extremely important to me.

2 very good friends I’d like to mention is Codie (of course!) and Randy Lockhart, the owner of Indie Artists Magazine as well several other magazines including this one. I talk to Codie sometimes twice a week, getting liners for radio stations here in the UK and worldwide, which he loves doing! He has a very good heart and is always willing to help.

I am truly honoured to call him my friend! His schedule is getting busier by the day, doing radio interviews, playing gigs, doing the liners for me and getting ready for Christmas with his beautiful family. He is also an inspiration to me, his music really lifts the spirit! You’re awesome, Codie! Check out Codie’s Music Here

Randy is also an inspiration to me – we chat almost everyday when he’s on a break from working on the magazine. He works extremely hard and I take my hat off to you, Randy! I enjoy talking to Randy and hearing all the fantastic stories he has to tell. He has been through so much, and I have so much respect for him! He supports all the Indie Artists, and he promotes them in his Indie Artists Magazine, Indie Music Magazine and Webhost Magazine, at no charge at all, I know the artists he promotes appreciate it. He loves doing what he does, and I do too!

To Codie, Randy and all my friends – Thank you for being you! Wishing you ALL a very Merry Christmas!

Ash Gilligan – Wonderful time of year.

There is not much time left until Christmas, this is when everyone goes mad doing Christmas shopping, it’s a nightmare…!

As kids, we would love Christmas, eager to know what Father Christmas would bring us, that is if we were good! The excitement would build up at the start of December, counting down the days until Christmas day. The night before Christmas Day my brother and I would put a mince pie and carrot on a plate for Father Christmas and his reindeer, I’m sure that tradition still goes on today!

Because of the excitement, we could not sleep, and kept on going through to the lounge to see if Father Christmas had been, my parents would say we needed to sleep otherwise Father Christmas would not come to our house. The excitement the next morning is priceless…to see the mince pie and carrot gone was through the roof! And the presents under the tree! Wow! Something I will never forget is the whole family getting together for the day – so much to eat, so much to do!

These days as adults you realise how much work goes into Christmas Day, the celebration of the special day. The shopping for presents, food etc is a total nightmare. Trying to find parking is like trying to find a needle in a haystack! Everyone seems to go a bit mad at this time, the lead up to Christmas.

On the day, the real work starts, the prepping and cooking of the food…only for it to be eaten in about 10 minutes! Don’t get me wrong, I love Christmas Day, but the work involved is heavy going lol! It seems to be one day of the year where so much food is prepared – and eaten again the next day, Boxing Day. It is also a day where a lot of money gets spent(!)

Before I forget, I hope all my USA followers and friends had a great Thanksgiving? I would love to hear your stories and see your pics of Thanksgiving!

Stay tuned for my next article, see you soon!
