Ava Maha

Ava Maha – Her musical career began in the family kitchen at age 3 when she sang the “Star Spangled Banner” acapella in perfect pitch.
ava1Her surprised parents looked at each other with mouths dropped open and knew at that moment that Ava was destined to be a singer.

Ava’s older brother was studying the “Star Spangle Banner” at home for school and unbeknownst to her parents, Ava memorized the words and perfected the pitch.
Ava Maha, who is now 11 years old, performed onstage for the first time at age 4 and has blossomed into a gifted soprano with a 3 ½ octave range.

Her first love is opera, but she is cross-trained in pop, rock, jazz, and blues and has performed in 4 different languages including Italian, German, French, and English.
Ava has a goal to become a professional singer and has a passion to bring the joy of music to people throughout the world. She especially enjoys volunteering for charitable causes and Veteran events.

Ava was thrilled when the Veterans recognized one of her performances by making a donation to the St. Judes Children’s Research Hospital on her behalf. She is inspired by her fans, especially when she has the opportunity to dedicate songs to those who are sick or fighting challenges.

Ava’s cross-training and mastery of numerous musical genres has led to a wide spectrum of performances including being featured at the Opera Theater of Pittsburgh’s Annual Gala, opening up for Grammy-nominated Concertmaster Andres Cardenes, performing at concerts with rock legend Donnie Iris, singing Puccini’s “O Mio Babbino Caro” for a large crowd on the Ponte Vecchio Bridge in Florence, Italy, and singing the Star Spangled Banner at professional sporting events.

Ava enjoys the challenge of learning difficult songs, with one of her favorites being Mozart’s “der Hölle Rache” (“Queen of the Night”), which has been described as one of the most difficult soprano arias in the 400 year history of opera.

She sang it at the Opera Theatre of Pittsburgh Annual Gala to a standing ovation.
Even though Ava spends a lot of time practicing each week and is always singing around the house, her parents try to help her balance her singing with other activities that she enjoys, including school, acting, and spending time with her friends.

She has acted for television commercials, short films, and theater productions, and her voice has been features for radio and television voice-overs.
Ava enjoys anything creative especially piano, dancing, cooking, crafts, and sewing.

She also enjoys playing with her friends and her dog, Gigi.

Ava has a lot of surprises planned for her fans including playing piano while singing. So stay tuned for her upcoming releases.
